PUERTO PRINCESA CITY – Another broadcaster was gunned down in the Philippines, this time in Puerto Princesa city.

Police identified the fatality as Gerry Ortega, a veterinarian by profession who hosted a morning program of Radyo Mo Nationwide (RMN) Palawan station DWAR. He is the 142nd journalist killed in the country since 1986.

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The death toll from almost three weeks of heavy rains in Bicol and 9 other regions has risen to 68 with at least 26 more missing.
