Has President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III found a new love?
The question is asked as the showbusiness industry is awash with reports that the Chief Executive has started dating someone in showbiz – and she is popular actress Iza Calzado, a top star of GMA Network.
The reports circulated only days after the President likened his lovelife to Coca Cola – it changed from “regular” to “light” and now “zero.”
Aquino has been linked to many girls but, at 51, has not decided to settle down and raise a family.
Prior and during the presidential campaign, she was reported to be enamoured with Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad, a former reporter turned a popular television co-host of TV 5’s Willie Revillame. That lasted for two years.
When Aquino won the presidency, it was widely speculated that Shalani would become the First Lady, but the President later let loose of her girlfriend, saying he had no more time for love, being married to serve the Filipino people as Chief Executive.
Then he was linked to his designer and family friend Liz Uy, and lately, Filipino-Korean TV host Grace Lee.
A report of GMA Network, mother studio of Iza, stated that some people saw the President and Shalani on a date after the birthday concert of singer Ogie Alcasid.
The report on GMA’s “24 Oras” Chika Minute later quoted Alcasid clarifying the status of the two.
Alcasid, who said he introduced Iza to some of the President’s friends, denied the rumor that the two are dating.
“Hindi sila nagde-date. Nagkakilala lang sila sa party (They are not dating. They met only at a party),” Alcasid said.
According to the same report, Iza’s manager Noel Ferrer also denied that his talent and the President are seeing each other.
Aquino’s camp, however, has not said anything about the rumor.
One of the girls linked to Aquino was even brought to Malacanang by the President.
There is no more report about the lovely girl.
It was gathered that the President has been dating women after work at night. He was reported to be even driving his expensive car during the dates.
