Comedian and television host Jose Manalo has finally broken his silence on allegations aired by his wife Anna Lyn.
In a statement, Jose admitted that he and his wife are undergoing some tests and difficulties in their relationship, but denied that he has abandoned her and their children.
Jose also denied allegations that he is living now with another woman.
However, he disclosed that he was trying his best to surmount the difficulties.
He said he was sad that his wife went to media, pointing out that her actions would just fan their difficulties and not lead to a peaceful and orderly solution to their problem.
Above all, his wife’s action was not good for their children, he said.
He said he has received the complaint of his wife for alleged violation of Republic Act No. 9262.
Jose said that he has consulted his lawyer about the complaint and proper action will be initiated.
He said he has been advised by his lawyer not to discuss the matter in the meantime that solution to their problem is being made.
Jose also denied the allegation of his wife Anna Lyn that he has left home for a new woman.
“Mariing pinabubulaanan ni Jose ang pahayag ni Anna Lyn na siya ay may ibang karelasyon. Ito ay kanyang sasagutin sa wastong paraan at sa tamang panahon,” according to a statement issued by his lawyer.
Jose also denied his wife’s allegations that he has abandoned and has not supported financially his children.
“Mariin ding pinabubulaanan ni Jose ang anumang alegasyon ng pagpapabaya, mapa-pinansyal o iba pa, sa kanyang mga anak kay Anna Lyn,” the lawyer said.
The actor stressed that he has been supporting and continues to support his children to the best of his means.
“Ang katotohanan ay si Jose ang nagbibigay ng nasabing suporta at patuloy na magbibigay ng suporta sa kanyang mga anak sa abot ng kanyang makakaya,” the statement said.
Jose said that for the sake of his wife Anna Lyn and their children, he has avoided initiating legal remedies on the matter and on the activities of his wife which has affected Jose’s parents.
The statement added: “Alang-alang kay Anna Lyn at sa kanilang mga anak, pilit na iniiwasan ni Jose na gumawa ng mga legal na hakbang laban kay Anna Lyn kaugnay ng iba’t ibang mga insidenteng kinasasangkutan nito at iba pang mga gawain ni Anna Lyn na nakapinsala pati sa mismong mga magulang ni Jose.”
Jose appealed to the media to be circumspect about their reporting on the private matters affecting him and his wife.
“Dahil patuloy na naaapektuhan ang kanyang pamilya sa usaping ito, nakikiusap si Jose sa media na bigyan sila ni Anna Lyn ng pagkakataong maresolba ang mga pagsubok na ito sa pribado at matahimik na paraan.”
It can be recalled that Jose’s wife, Anna Lyn, was reported to be involved in a multi-million jewelry “scam” which affected Jose and forced him to take a leave of absence from showbiz.
