1. mataas (tall) mas mataas kaysa (taller) pinakamataas (tallest)
2. malaki (big) mas malaki kaysa (bigger) pinakamalaki (biggest)
3. malakas (strong) mas malakas kaysa (stronger) pinakamalakas
(strongest)
4. maaga (early) mas maaga kaysa (earlier) pinakamaaga (earliest)
5. maganda (pretty) mas maganda kaysa (prettier) pinakamaganda (prettiest)
Halimbawa (Examples):
1. a. Si Krista ay mataas.
Crysta is tall.
b. Si Talia ay mas mataas kaysa kay Krista.
Talia is taller than Crysta.
k. Si Pua ang pinakamataas sa tatlo.
Pua is the tallest of the three.
2. a. Siya ay malaki.
He/She is big.
b. Siya ay mas malaki kaysa kanyang kapatid.
He/She is bigger than his/her brother/sister.
k. Pinakamalaki siya sa lahat.
He/She is the biggest of all.
3. a. Malakas si Mercado.
Mercado is strong
b. Mas malakas si Coto kaysa kay Mercado.
Coto is stronger than Mercado.
k. Pinakamalakas si Manny Pacquiao.
The strongest one is Manny Pacquiao.
4. a. Si Carmen ay maagang dumarating.
b. Mas maagang dumarating si Virgie kaysa kanya.
k. Pinakamaagang dumarating si Katie.
5. a. Maganda si Sabel.
b. Si Alyna ay mas maganda kaysa kay Sabel.
k. Pinakamaganda si Mara.
